I am very pleased to inform you that the conversations with Professors Akshay Venkatesh, Helmut Hofer, and Myles Jackson at IAS, Professor June Barrow-Green, Chair of the ICHM Executive Committee, and Professor Karen Parshall from AIHS-IAHS have led to an agreement to cooperate in activities promoting the history of 20th-century and 21st-century mathematics.
The first result of this cooperation is the organization of a joint hybrid event on 20 September 2024 at the School of Mathematics, IAS, Princeton. Find the details for both forms of participation on the poster attached to this message.
We all look forward to the presentation by Rebecca Waldecker (MLU Halle-Wittenberg) and Volker Remmert (IZWT, BU Wuppertal) and the panel discussion moderated by Alma Steingart (Columbia University) and hope that many of you will join us.
